In sketching the logos for Blaze, I focused on creating a visual identity that is both unique and engaging for the brand’s target audience.
My goal was to create a logo that reflects Blaze’s values and connects with the audience with a well-balanced combination of functionality and character.

The three digital logo sketches were inspired by symbol combinations representing the brand’s unique tone of voice. Each variation reflects the brand values of community, people, warmth, and flame in an edgy style that nods to their tone of voice.
After sharing the logo sketches with the client, we decided to move towards a friendlier appearance. The final logo design uses the 'Shaka’ hand symbol with an emerging flame and a rounded, bold sans-serif wordmark.
This updated design emphasizes balance, symmetry, and variety to create a fun, interesting appearance that meets the client and audience's needs.
